I thoroughly enjoyed Barbara's presentation with my English 10 class. Barbara's one-with-one attention, inspiring show, and helpful strategies to improve poetry writing were not only instructive to me as an educator but also strengthened the expression and confidence of my students. I highly recommend Barbara to any classroom where literature, music and the performing arts are valued. Thank you so much for your valuable involvement! Wishing you the best!
http://gf-artisans.ning.com our link to Grand Forks artisans. Missed your poetry slam at the library as The hip sisters dance extravaganza was on. If you have and roots to our area sign up make a page and join our poetry group. The library folks where abuzz with the excitement your show created. Culturally our community is blooming. Take a look. Cheers.
Today I sat in the sun at school and read "Your Electric Wilderness." It was cool because I found a chair outside, that had padding and everything! Your poems are so great, I can read them over and over and never get bored. I guess it's your unusual metaphors that fuel my imagination and how some words just sound so beautiful tied together. But it's even more than that...I feel like the words in your poems become more than words. Oh nuts! I can't really express what I mean I suppose, and if you're actually reading this then maybe you're disappointed with the lack of point to this rambling message. But hey, I just moved to St. John's Newfoundland, and if you need anything from this coast, don't hesitate to ask!
I really enjoyed your set on Friday. It was a hapless accident that we walked into your fundraiser, but an enjoyable one nonetheless. I bought your CD and it again is giving me great insight. I'm also curious, what is your connection with nature and biologists? Thanks, John
You and the rest of the Fugitives made last weekend the best ever. Ahhh so good. Alison and I were sitting in our car downtown waiting for pizza after the folk fest and were talking about how funny it would be if you guys showed up (since we always see you!) and a Best Western shuttle pulled up beside us! But it wasn't you (clearly). Still funny though. Anyway, I don't have facebook but you could e-mail me and Alison and I could send you pictures (or even video clips)! See ya Babs! :)
barb. i think you are sexy. and your poetry..... even sexier
Hi! You're an uber-amazing poet. I love "The Birth of Comedy" A LOT. Thought I'd let you know. It's brilliant! Keep up the awesomeness. All the best, Clare
You visited my school earlier today with the Reach Out Psychosis program. Correlieu Secondary in Quesnel. I just wanted to say the presentation was amazing! Despite the fact that it was first thing in the morning and everybody was tired, you still made everybody laugh. Thanks for the great experience, and I think it's great that you're part of the program.
Loved your work Barbara...you are a very talented, energetic woman.
Too long of a story to explain how i somehow came upon this fabulous ms adler dedicated peice of wonderment. i always knew you'd go places kid....ahhh i do entertain myself. i thought it would be rude to creep on the site without at least leaving a mark of my having been here. i'll definitley be checking back on upcoming dates your doing. as much as i would love to return to dawson creek, i think for my sanity i'll wait to catch a vancouver show. hopefully i will see you sooner rather than later...

Hi there! I was at your presentation at Pinetree Secondary early today. I am in a Grade 12 Psychology class and when our teacher told us we have to go to a Planning 10 presentation, we were all "sigh" and SHIT! But you proved us, especially me, wrong! Your onstage humour, enthusiasm and especially your charisma was well worth the time. I just wanted to tell you I was highly entertained! Thanks for such an interesting presentation PS too bad i'm not named dylan HAHAHA XD
Been a fan since seeing your performance on CBC's ZeD... five years ago, was it? Anyway. You performed a piece called "In the Time Before" and I think it may have been one of the most interesting and inspiring things I could have heard.

Hey Barb! i just saw you at my school and you are fantastic! i loved the poetry, i am a poet myself and have a lvoe for music but never have i thought of doing it like you. i was so impressed and love your quirky sense of humor!! you rock!
I heard you just now on North X Northwest. Dawson Creek as Mile ) of the Alaska Highway has several icons that would make for good memory cards - Mile 0 Post, grain elevator that is an art gallery, train station that is the tourist info office, Pioneer Village with many pioneer days' buildings transported to the site, Sudetan Hall, built by the Sudetans who can at the outbreak of WW2, the Alaska highway, the only working grain elevator in BC, a fantastic wild game farm . . .is that enough? Others would know of more - I've been here only 34 years!
Hello Bye
Barbara - congrats on all you success! Not surprised at all - I would love to read your work. I look forward to seeing you live in person! :) Oh, will you come to Fredericton?
I love the new and improved website. It looks stupendous (and I'm thinking I should update my website...kind of a keeping up with the Joneses thing). And I really, really love your photos. All of them. :)
Hey! You came to my school today with the Reach Out Crew and I was so impressed by your performance! Keep doing it! You're very good at it! You reminded me of another slam poet named Scott Gibson..you may have heard of him!

Hello, your website is very informative and useful, I would like to share with you links, send all the questions on my e-mail.
You're kickin ass sista! Bring one of your albums up next time you're on the coast and I'll buy it right off you! S
Nice website, I like the photos, I'll check it often for all the awesome purposes it serves. Have you been to "Lime" since the reno? if you have you'll understand my saying that playing there would be like this: you're wife (husband as it may be), Rime, was killed in some horrible accident on your honey moon, and you, possibly with the help of a booking agency, go home with her (his) evil bitch step sister (brother), "Lime" after the funeral and... well, this story isn't going anywhere pretty. Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. And please don't take it as a slight on you or the gang for booking there, but I won't go there, even to see the Fugitives. it just feels so wrong. Keep up the awesome. Much love and admiration, Nic.
well look who came back to haunt the CSPs again... nice website!

I am duly impressed and for one reason or another, I share Marcela’s sentiment – I love your calendar.

Finally! I love the calendar and the relevant pictures :)
I love the website! Looks super duper! And of course you're super duper too.
i've seen you perform a few times, always enjoyed. your the good things, barbara. keep it up.

I don't know where to start... I guess in a sense I already started, because I've already left a comment on The Fugitives site, and The Fugitives facebook page.... please don't take me for an obsessive creep. After your performance in Terrace at Caledonia, I guess I just felt really inspired! If it is an obsession, really don't worry, it'll soon die down to a regular infatuation hahaha! Good day to you, Kayla :)
